UI Overview
UI Content
This Kinect dance game went through numerous reiterations of style and content before it was released. Due to changing themes and content, the entire look and feel of the UI went through many full overhauls and settled on a more casual theme with very simple iconography at ubisoft's request to match the target demographic.
The ingame 3D HUD was represented as a circular 3D graphic equalizer, the better the player performs, the circumference increases. The rating for the players' skill was also displayed in this manner.
Song select menu UI
Flyer select (Difficulty) UI
Difficulty mode flyers
Each song difficulty level had its own flyer design, with reiteration and final non related tracks.
However, there was not enough record label approved / licensed publicity and cover images for all the tracks.
Taking inspiration of the original single or album art, original images were created in Photoshop and 3DS max by myself.
Including DLC, I designed over 200 flyers.
The darker strip over each flyer is a darkening strip for the dance routine text to be overlaid. No flyers are shown without overlay text apart from the 4th flyer in each set.

Club 246 stage co-design
Not only did I produce a large section of the UI, I was also tasked with assisting in background concept work for the Tokyo club stage.
The main motif of the club had futuristic "UFO" concept. A simple rounded triangle was a decided as a reocurring shape, inspired by simple and clean lines in classic design work, such as Eame's chair concepts. This shape was repeated for furniture and other architectural features.
